“You can’t be what you can’t see,” was the comment that started Women of Wit.

In 2018 it began as a way to inspire female identifying comedians to take to the stage. Since then Women of Wit has sold out shows in Bendigo, Drysdale, Castlemaine, Stratford and Warburton. It has also helped launch careers with performers going on to work in radio and television, and tour new solo shows.

Basically this is a line-up show that brings emerging comedians alongside established acts. Fostering a safe environment for new artists to develop and audiences to be inspired. We also aim to include a local act who is mentored, and promoted to their community.

Technically the show requires only stage lighting and a microphone. Better still a projector for the logo, and extra microphone backstage for announcements. We bring the professionals, support the new acts, and supply marketing material and promote to our contacts.
